all of these workshops are don't miss opportunities. these workshops will be hard hitting discussions that will attempt to address every question and concern a parent faces as their student-athlete child explores their academic opportunities. we are excited about the expert panel that has volunteered their time and effort to help you better understand what needs to be your focus and objectives in making the next step in your daughter's future. the following are the workshops planned for the camp: "general admission" this will be your opportunity to hear from local college and university admissions directors and counselors discuss the process of admissions and give advice. "getting it from the source" hear first hand from an ncaa director of compliance discuss the topics of recruiting, compliance and clearinghouse. parents should be able to walk away with a better understanding about the process of recruiting. "teamwork - the importance of both the parent's and child's role in finding the right fit" this will be an opportunity to talk to and learn first hand from a panel of parent's of current or former collegiate players at all levels. they will address the changes in lifestyle, academic importance, playing time and separation from home that they encountered and how they handled every aspect. listen to stories of parents discuss how they engaged their child to play and active role in the process. "for the love of the game" listen to current college coaches discuss their playing careers. hear first hand from this panel of coaches as they discuss their opportunities, options and how they choose a school that was the right fit for them and why they decided to continue on by coaching at the collegiate level. "straight from the coaches mouth" - sales and marketing 101 our panel of college coaches will discuss how and how not to market your student-athlete child. they will give advice on the do's and don't's of communication with your colleges of interest. "hit me with your best shot" - the college coaches roundtable this is your chance to ask our panel of college coaches questions that may not have been covered in all the other workshops |
